Contract: Permanent | Term Time (39 weeks) + 2 weeks
Hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Salary: Grade 5 (£29,904 – £33,678)

We are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic, and proactive Business Support Officer – Admin to join our vibrant academy. This is a pivotal role at the centre of school life – as the first point of contact for students, staff, parents and visitors, you will help shape outstanding experiences and ensure our school runs seamlessly every day.

About the Role
As part of our Operations Team, you will provide high-quality administrative and customer service support across the academy. Acting as the face of the school, both in person and online, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a welcoming, efficient and professional environment.
From managing student services and attendance to supporting events and communications, no two days will be the same.
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering comprehensive admin support across key areas including attendance, admissions, behaviour, trips, events, student welfare and more
- Acting as a professional and friendly first point of contact at reception and via phone/email
- Supporting student attendance processes, working closely with families and pastoral teams
- Maintaining and improving efficient systems, databases and processes (including Bromcom/MIS)
- Providing first aid support and ensuring accurate record-keeping
- Managing communications, website updates and social media, promoting academy successes
- Supporting marketing and student recruitment activities
- Coordinating and supporting key school events such as open evenings, parents’ evenings and results days
- Managing stock, supplies, reprographics, and ensuring the office environment operates smoothly

- Experienced in administration and IT systems (MS Office essential)

- Passionate about supporting young people and contributing to a positive school culture
School experience is desirable but not essential.
